The Wenatchee Wild have signed Edge School student-athlete Carsten Leyerzapf to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
A netminder from Calgary, AB, Leyerzapf joined Edge for the 2022/23 CSSHL U15 season going 12-2-0 with a 3.43 GAA, .902 SV% and 1 shutout. The following U15 Prep season he went 11-2-0 with a .901 SV% and 3.13 GAA leading to the Wild selecting him in the seventh round, 140th overall at the 2024 WHL Draft.
This past season Leyerzapf played just three games for the Edge U17 Prep team, going 2-1-0 with a 3.28 GAA and .925 SV%. Leyerzapf will play for the Edge U18 Prep team during the 2025/26 season.
